Illustration Friday on Thursday - Skyline(rs)!..
Checked your calendar today? That's right, kids, it's Thursday and that means that, just by being in the right place (here) at the right time (now), you are about to be hit with yet another odd little Illustration Friday endeavor. How lucky are YOU today, huh? Anyway, this week's theme was "Skyline" and, because 1950s music is really where it's at, I decided to add an extra letter (or two) to this week's theme word and bang out a quick sketch of the legendary Pittsburgh vocal group, the Skyliners...

You've no doubt heard the Skyliners' 1958 hit Since I Don't Have You. Like many groups popular in the 1950s, only one original member (Jimmy Beaumont) remains as an active performer, the other male members of the group having long since retired and the female soprano, Janet Vogel, having died tragically in 1980...
