And Now, Back To Our Regularly Scheduled Anonymity...
Yes, much like a hurricane blows through a tropical locale, wreaking havoc and causing devastation, only to leave just as rapidly as it came, the incident which will come to be known as "Big-Ass Traffic Spike (2005)" has come and gone. My 15 minutes of fame produced nearly 1,000 hits (where I usually get 100, if I'm lucky) and only translated into about 19 comments...(Hopefully, too, I still have bandwidth for the month)...
And now, back to getting a mere handful of hits...At least it's from (mostly) people I know...Still, it was fun while it lasted...
You know what else was fun? Watching the Avalanche beat the Sharks last night. That's right, baby! On the strength of Pierre Turgeon's 500th career goal, the Boys in Burgundy smacked around those teal-clad jokers in grand fashion at the Pepsi Center Tuesday night, much to the chagrin of (our old buddy) Rocket Jones...Yes, it's a long season and yes, there's a lot of hockey to be played...But for today: victory (and the spoils which accompany it)...
In closing, for the record, my head is still the same size as it's always been. Thanks for your collective concern, though...
